Priceless smiles on tiny faces
Date: 22-Jun-2009
To the Editor: I would like to commend the wonderful people involved in the Soul to Sole program for giving my 10-year-old grandson, Phabian Moss, a beautiful, brand new pair of tennis shoes.
Due to handicap inaccessibility at the Boys and Girls Club's St. Stanislaus Teen Center, the executive director, Mike Conlbear, and Mr. Hodge delivered the sneakers directly to my home. For this, I am grateful. I thought that if I could not make it to the site, my grandson would have to go without, or would not be included. However, I was dead wrong.
I am pleased to say, I met two wonderful gentlemen who were very professional and polite. It is obvious that they take pride in what they do.
To the founder of the Soul to Sole program, Lori Campana, I would like to say, your achievement with this program is a complete success as you put appreciative smiles on so may tiny faces. As far as my grandson, his smile was priceless.
